Meet Jack Bohman: |
|
“Jack Bohman’s expertise, resourcefulness and steady hand guided us through a very complicated real estate transaction. We are pleased to no end with his efforts on our behalf. His negotiation skills made sure everyone walked away from the table a winner.”
Bob Forman, Chatham and Norwell, MA
“When it is time to sell your home, Jack Bohman is the greatest partner to have in your corner!”
Moss Crosby, Chatham and Huntsville, AL
“Jack Bohman is a tireless worker. We can’t say enough terrific things about the way Jack persevered with our listing through a challenging market. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and always responsive and communicative. He even helped us get our furniture moved. I don’t know how we could have sold our house without him.”
Louise Orem, MacLean, VA
“To me, Jack Bohman and Bohman Thayer RE represent the best in Cape Cod real estate. There are a lot of fine real estate agents out there, but none have a better grasp and understanding of the local marketplace than Jack and his team at Bohman Thayer. Jack’s work ethic, his smarts and his engaging personality are the reasons why he is so successful. You will not find a better advocate than Jack Bohman.”
Mark Plansky, Chatham and Norwell, MA
In hindsight, the formation of Bohman Thayer Real Estate was inevitable. Despite schooling, working and traveling far and wide, the calling to be in Chatham full time proved to be too strong. Chatham has always been home and few realtors have deeper roots or know Chatham and the Lower Cape more thoroughly.
Bohman honed his service and project skills as a fifteen year professional in the private golf club industry. Jack was a key player on the management teams that developed, built and operated three respected and successful high-end country clubs: Cape Cod National in Brewster, Black Rock Country Club in Hingham, and the Bay Club in Mattapoisett.
His role as the VP of Sales and Marketing at the Bay Club in Mattapoisett solidified his affinity for real estate sales and proved to be a terrific vehicle for Jack to channel his competitive discipline, service training, and management and operations experience into real estate sales and high-end home new home construction. Prior to the formation of Bohman Thayer Real Estate, Jack was a top producing sales agent at John C Ricotta and Associates and firmly established his reputation as one of the elite agents in Cape Cod real estate.
Jack and his wife, Sally Munson-Bohman, live in Chatham where they are raising their two boys, Mackenzie and Lane. Sally's family has summered here her entire life. Together, Jack and Sally own and operate the Munson Gallery on Main Street in Chatham. It is the Cape's oldest art gallery. They are especially proud of the fact that Sally represents the fourth generation of Munson's in the family business which was founded in New Haven, CT in 1860. The Munson Gallery opened in Chatham fifty-five years ago.
Jack's family moved to Chatham in 1966. After attending the Chatham schools through ninth grade, Jack graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1977 and the University of Virginia with a B.A. in History in 1981. Jack and Sally are members of Eastward Ho! Country Club, the Chatham Beach and Tennis Club, and the Chatham Paddle Tennis Association. On any given Saturday or Sunday morning in the spring and fall, you are likely to see Jack and partner Todd Thayer coaching youth soccer on some Cape Cod soccer field.
Jack's passion and joy in playing and teaching the game of golf has taken him all over the world. Jack's first development assignment was launching Golf Digest's Teaching Academy in Hong Kong in 1992. As a college golfer and PGA Member, Jack has won numerous golf awards and competed in tournaments on three continents and eight different countries. At one time, Jack was rated by Golf Digest as one of the top fifteen golf instructors in Massachusetts and he has former students he mentored from their junior golf days who are currently competing on the PGA, LPGA and Nationwide Tours. He is a frequent contributing writer to Golf on Cape Cod Magazine. He is a five-time club champion at Eastward Ho! Country Club.
It has always been Jack's goal to raise his family and live full time in our lovely seaside community and own his own real estate company. We are thrilled and honored to have Jack's engaging personality, polished skills, leadership, breadth of experience and local knowledge leading the team at Bohman Thayer Real Estate.

Robin Thayer: |
|
Robin Thayer joins us after a stellar sales career with Cape Cod Life and
Cape Cod Home magazines. For 19 years, hundreds of business
owners, artists and civic organizations from Hyannis to Provincetown
looked towards Robin's marketing and advertising expertise to help
them promote their brand and expand market share. Robin's
responsibilities also included constantly searching out noteworthy
editorial content for these two distinctive lifestyle magazines. It is not
an overstatement to say that few people on Cape Cod can rival her local
knowledge. Robin is truly a valuable resource for both her clients and
Bohman Thayer Real Estate.
All it took was one beautiful summer to fall in love with the Cape. Robin grew up in Westchester,
New York and attended Franklin and Marshall College. After graduating in 1985 with a Business
Management degree, Robin worked in Boston for several years in advertising and publishing.
Twenty years ago, she and her husband Todd Thayer decided to move back to his hometown of
Orleans knowing this was a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
Robin enjoys the outdoors, running, yoga and spending time with her husband, their two
children and two golden retrievers. She is actively involved as a parent with the local school
system and the community. It is a bonus that her parents have retired to Orleans and are
wonderfully engaged Cape Cod grandparents. Her friendly spirit, hard work and positive
attitude as well as the innovative, fresh approach of Bohman Thayer Real Estate are a dynamic
combination. We are lucky to have her on our team.

Monica Lucier-Russell: |
|
Monica was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and lived there for 16 years. She is fluent in Spanish and spent some time in The Chatham school system in the 1970’s before graduating from The University of Massachusetts/Amherst with a B.A. in English. After graduating from college, she spent 2 and 1/2 years at McCourt Communications in Boston before realizing a dream and moving back to Chatham. Monica is a familiar face in town by virtue of her job at The Chatham Squire which she has held for 20 years. Hospitality and service are earmarks of her nature, as is her extensive knowledge of the town and its people.
Monica’s ties to the town took on a more major importance 10 years ago with the birth of her son, Nicholas. Now Chatham has a different slant for her with involvement in the school and her membership in the PTO.
She and her husband, Otis Russell, who also works at The Squire, have owned a home in Chatham for the past 20 years although their relationship with the town extends back a half century.. An out-of-control Lab/Golden named Luna completes the picture. For full knowledge of info behind the info, Monica is your go-to agent.
